This was only our second cruise - the first was with another cruise line. On our first cruise we had heard only good things about Viking from our fellow travelers, so we decided to see what Viking actually had to offer. Our experience was absolutely first rate - and we highly recommend Viking's sea cruises! While onboard we made reservations for Viking's Grand European river cruise next year to celebrate our anniversary.

We found that the onboard lecture series was both enjoyable and informative - there was the added advantage of being able to review all lectures on the ship's TV channel, so we didn't miss anything whenever there were several interesting events happening simultaneously. The destination excursions were very well organized and provided good overviews of each port while allowing time for more involved explorations of selected areas of interest. Our fondest memories are of the fjords, such fantastic scenery - quite a contrast from our native Arizona landscape!

Cabin Review

Cabin Junior Suite

We had reserved a cabin on deck 5 when we planned our cruise; however, a week or so before embarking we received an email informing us that we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite on the top deck! What an amazing enhancement to our cruise - we realized this was likely a once-in-a-lifetime happening so we made sure to indulge in the luxury!
