I chose this cruise as I see The Bliss go by my home every week. I have heard a lot about this new ship, and wanted to see Alaska again. A friend who cruises NCL all the time recommended this ship to me also. In the future I am looking forward to taking a NCL cruise again. The whole crew was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They would always have a smile for you, and did their utmost to make you have a wonderful cruising experience. If I had to review a "con" of this trip it would be the observation deck. This area is so beautiful floor to ceiling windows to take in the sights. The only issue is that the information asks that when you sit on a lounge, you respectfully put no shoes on the lounge, and wear socks or stockings. Folks totally disregard this and it is not enforced by the cruise line. It should be addressed, as who wants to see someone's dirty feet or shoes on the furniture, kind of disgusting. There was a lot of this going on. Folks just don't care, and they also thought it okay to "save" seats, which is not allowed. They would sort of try to "camp out" for the whole day stretched out on a sofa, no one else could have a seat. With 4000 passengers, seats are for everyone to enjoy, not just a select few.

Studio Stateroom

Cabin T1

I loved my studio stateroom, it was perfect. There was a full size bed, with storage under the bed. Two full size closets, another narrower closet with door for personal items. A "real time" television screen, and a separate television with a little shelf and stool to sit on. The shower was beautiful in the corner, and in a little room was the toilet area. Just perfect, plus there is a "solo" lounge just for the "single" travelers.

Port Reviews

Victoria

Victoria, B. C. is simply beautiful. Since I live on the Olympic Peninsula only 18 miles away to Port Angeles, then 60 miles to my home, I have visited Victoria many many times. I just took a leisurely walk to town, about two miles, and bought a few items I wanted I could not get at home. If you cut straight through on Montreal Street to the town, a lot shorter than walking around the water line past Fisherman's Wharf, unless that is what you want to experience.
