My cruise (which I gave as a gift to two members of my family) began with my VIP suite being flooded (which is no ones fault) - we were moved over 6 hours later to another suite that was not cleaned (toilet still had someone else's bm left in it). Our package included a butler - which we never met or sawtthe entire week. We moved our own luggage to the new room, unpacked our luggage. We were seated late for scheduled dinner which caused us to miss a show in which we had tickets. This was just the first day - it did not get better. The only fun portion of this trip was the train ride in Alaska. I was embarrassed and highly disappointed, I wanted to give my family a present that wouldn't forget. I guess I sure did. This is my 22nd cruise and my last. This was their first cruise and their last. $25,000 disappointment.
Original cabin was flooded. After 6 hours we were moved to another cabin with a smaller balcony. We moved - we never met the butler who was supposed to help us. We moved our own luggage, unpacked our own luggage - didn't see the butler the entire cruise. The new room was not cleaned. The bathroom had someone's bm still in the toilet. The whole experience was horrible. I was offered a refund of $400. Total joke. This is just a small part of the bad experience of our cruise to Alaska. I was mortified as I wanted to gift my family a trip.
