I chose this cruise primarily for the two days in St. Petersburg and the fact that we enjoyed our previous Norway cruise so much. Embarking was straightforward and we never encountered during our stay any staff that was not pleasant and helpful. Our cabin was perfect and we really enjoyed the balcony views. We do like to dress up for dinner a couple times during our cruise but we felt overdressed in the dining room with my husband wearing a tuxedo. The food was tasty though limited options were available in the complimentary dining room for a vegetarian. The casino took up a large area and walking through the smoking areas was not pleasant but of course, that would be the same on other ships.

We loved the violinist and heard her twice. We appreciated the vegetarian section in the buffet though it had almost the same thing every day. We loved the itinerary but wish we could have spent two days in Stockholm. It was way too rushed and of course, we were disappointed that we didn't get to cruise through the archipelago. We missed having do it yourself laundry facilities as we have had on other cruises. Also, we have been on other cruises that had very elaborate nightly entertainment but did not charge extra. I felt that NCL should charge a fair price and then not charge extra for every little thing.

I would probably go again though I plan to take a break from cruising for awhile so we can spend more time at one place if we'd like to do so. I felt very rushed at a couple of the ports, especially Stockholm.

Our steward was excellent and attentive as were the rest of the staff that we had contact with.
