We wanted something special to celebrate our 50th Anniversary and wanted to visit places in Europe that we hadn't visited before. This itinerary was the perfect choice - especially ending in Prague, only 50 miles from where my husband's ancestors lived! The Avalon crew went out of their way to make our trip special including an anniversary dinner with 8 new friends that included champagne and a special cake with a giant sparkler. They even sang to us. The accommodations, excursions, meals, and attention to details were first class. All of the guides on included and optional excursions were very knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw places that the casual tourist would not see. The buffet breakfasts and lunches onboard the ship offered a wonderful variety of food including specialty foods from the countries we visited. The dinners were first class with excellent service and choice of menus. I would highly recommend Avalon Waterways for river cruising anywhere in the world.
