WE sailed on the Breakaway in late June on the Baltic Sea itinerary. I have been on many cruises but this was only my 2nd Norwegian cruise. I have to say we did not love the ship.

WE had a balcony room but it was really small. We were a party of 5 and had 2 connecting balcony rooms on the 12th deck. I shared a room with my daughter and we could not get out of each others way. There is really no drawer space so all of our clothes were in piles in the closet. We had to use the top shelf and being that we are both petite we had trouble reaching it. In addition the bathroom was small, however most cruise ship cabin bathrooms are small! I did notice when we were walking through on the 5th deck the hallways are much bigger and we peeked in a cabin about midship the rooms seemed much bigger but no balcony, just a window.

The food was ok, not great at all. We did enjoy the one restaurant we paid for, it was the Brazilian Steakhouse. The food was great. We ate all of our dinners in the complimentary dining rooms. The service was not great.. no one smiled.. the staff did not seem happy to be there. Out of the 3 dining room the Manhattan Room was the better go the 3. Although the food was the same we liked this dining room the best. I think they use 1 of the dining rooms for their new staff because the service was terrible! I can't remember if it was Savor or Taste. We did eat in the Noodle restaurant one night and it was ok.
