Our cruise on the Epic was ok. Cabin was not very clean on entry. Old dirty underwear in closet on life vest, upholstery was dirty on sofa bed. I wasnt a fan of the bath area. If someone was dressing or showering no one else could leave the room. Food was marginal. We tried O’Sheehans, Shanghai, Taste, Manhattan, and Garden cafe. Eating healthy with fresh veggie dishes was not easy. Sushi was extra $$. No sushi included as included food option! Limited fresh fruits. Taste dining was best. In room event and reservation bookings were not always available. Elevators and wait times were awful! Often had to jump on ‘up’ when going ‘down’ or vice versa just to get a spot when it went the other way or go mutliple floors on stairs...The cost of NCL shore excursions and transfers are way too high$$$! Much better opions on TripAdvisor and other sites. That said the ports were great and our privately booked excursions were awesome! In general however I will look to another cruise line next time and try them out. Have done Carnival several times and liked the food options/quality better, but ‘freestyle’ dining on NCL is a plus! If only the food were better. Wait times for guest services and on board credit lines were almost always long. Limited hours for services too. Overall the energy of the crew was low.
