This is my fourth RC Cruise and 12th in total. I had stopped using RC because I just do not understand the hoopla/excitement and raving. I was going on vacation with my mom and the only week I could go was June 9/10th, so we opted to give RC another try. Heard great things about the Allure - amenities, shows, activities, etc. From almost immediately it was one disappointment after another and definitely nothing super special.

Cabin - Started off with our safe not working (this actually happened on 4 separate occasions. Each time we had to wait for maintenance (must be present when they come). We were 30 min late for dinner one night, spent the first hour in the room waiting, almost late to muster station for safety drill. Cabin decor is dated. Service was fine. Did not get turn down one night, still not sure why.

Food - Menu selections are not very good. Only 4 items per night. Choices were hard to pick from. Starters were also boring, most nights we just skipped them. Shrimp were so small and mushy, no dressing on salads, very fishy salmon, the list goes on. We ate in the dining room for breakfast. Same food every day. They only had a different special on one day. Windjammer for lunch was GROSS. Every day were the same selections and they were not good. Stuck with a salad each day. Need more options/variety. Make some changes from day to day. Every day - nachos, burgers, hot dogs, fries, salad, rice, lo mein, odd looking cold cuts, some version of dark meat fried chicken in sauce (chinese). Sorrentos pizza was alright.
