This cruise was chosen by my aunt for a family reunion to celebrate the life of my recently departed grandma. All 20+ of us wanted to go somewhere new and none of us had yet been to Cuba, so we chose this cruise. 5 kids and 23 adults were a part of this trip and all of us had a blast. Dining was easy, there was lots of entertainment for adults and children alike, and everyone had several chances to spend time together as well as apart. We set up private excursions in Cuba with tour guides that took us around on foot and in old classic cars (highly recommend Fertours barefoot excursion.) We learned lots about the city and saw many famous sites along the way. The private island in Great Sturrup Cay was clean, beautiful and full of wildlife for us to observe- we spotted iguanas, lobsters and even a sea turtle while snorkeling. It rained lightly most of the day, but we sat out in the ocean and enjoyed the cool water coming down while sitting in the lukewarm ocean. While on board, I caught a comedy show, took a salsa class, swam often, watched the Mr Sexy Legs competition that several of my family members participated in, gambled, danced the night away at the on deck White Party, purchased a beautiful piece of art at the Cuba port, spent time at many of the on ship bars and enjoyed the musical stylings of Mr. Antonio. We enjoyed dinner with large groups of family members every night- best restaurant was Cagney’s Steakhouse, which is a paid restaurant but so worth it. Staff was so friendly and over the top nice and accommodating. Everyone seemed to be having lots of fun everywhere I looked. Rooms were average size for a cruise ship and always clean. Most of our family had balconies attached to our adjoining rooms. Every day we would stick our heads over the rails and usually at least one other family member would be out there as well. One day, 7 of us were all out there conversing and planning our days over an ocean view and fresh warm breeze. I had the most relaxing, wonderful vacation with my family in celebration of my world traveling grandparents’ lives. ❤️

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BC

Small, but adequate for the cruise. Loved the balcony and being able to view the open ocean from my room. I also loved being able to stick my head over the rails and converse with family members in adjoining rooms!

Port Reviews

Miami

We stayed in South Beach before departing. Would not recommend South Beach for family travelers. Beach was nice though and good food was close by

Great Stirrup Cay

Enjoyed the beach here. Great bar close by, as well as a taco bar and another food area. Say in the ocean as it sprinkled lightly outside. Lots of family members snorkled close by and said they saw lobsters and sea turtles along the way
