I booked this cruise on ncl sun to grand bahamas and private island as it was offering free drinks and going to 2 places I have never been. Being so excited I booked for 5 people and myself. 2 weeks before we sail we get a email that we are not going to grand bahama island... instead we were going to Nassau.. a place I have been many times.. so from the star and before we even reach the boat we are not happy.. we accept that fact and get past it. Day of sailing we reach cruise port and park we don't see and price or attendant but we hope for the best and park anyways. Upon boarding the boat we all are ready to get our room card and complete check in process. They tell me there is a problem with the signed letter we brought for a 17yr old in our party.. I have cruised before with a different cruise line with a letter from parent and had a great time. It is 1:30 And they tell us we need a photo copy of license front and back and her dad (from a different country) needs to go to website and print and fillout paper work and send it in and we have a hour and a half to do it.. i told them he doesnt speak english very well and that would be impossible and they do not have a phone for us to use to even try to call him at work.. we worked through it and get to board the boat at 3 as they start the safety still. We are still stressed and very upset and we don't get to go to grand bahamas on top of that.. we try to enjoy our time.. the tiny portions of not so good food and very limited selection didn't help. Staff never asked our name for dinner or house keeping.. We dock in nassau and get off the boat and ecplore.. day 2 we are going to pricate island.. so excited.. we wake up to a announcement that nope we are actually going to just float around on the boat all day. Extremely ticked off we complain and want some compensation.. we booked to go 2 places and are going to neither.. they say they have the right to do what they want with no compensation. So we lay by the pool.. or attempt to.. but they have enough beds to lay in for only 1/4 Of people on the boat. So we can't lay out either.. so to sum it up.. horrible trip
