This was our third Celebrity cruise, having previously sailed on the Eclipse and Summit. The ship was immaculate – crew was always cleaning or washing something.
This was our first experience with Aqua class. Eating in Blue was quite a treat with extremely efficient and friendly wait staff and excellent food, although a more limited menu than in the main dining room. In Blu, you were welcomed like family upon entering. We liked the atmosphere of the cobalt blue glasses, contemporary walls and rose theme. Even the butter was shaped like a rose.
We enjoyed trying out food venues all over the ship. The spa café had excellent light fare at lunch although I admit that we would go from there to the Oceanview for homemade ice cream.
Our cabin was aft and very well appointed. Storage over the bed and under the bed helped accommodate our stuff and the second hanging bar in the closet was a bonus.
Enrique, our cabin steward, was wonderful and very nice to us and made our vacation
most special.
The canapés that come with Aqua class were not that good but it was fun to see what
would appear each afternoon. My husband drank some of the tea that was provided.
We used the robes and slippers. Gilcrest and Somes toiletries were plentiful and good quality.
Sitting on our veranda watching the sea was so mesmerizing that we ordered from room service one night just to eat outside.
