My wife had been on a Cruise aboard the Rhapsody many years ago. She always spoke about us going on a Cruise as a family. Now that my daughter is 9years old we throught it is teh ideal opportunity that we do this. Many people who have been on Cruises have very different stories to tell. Most don't enjoy being out at sea and are scared/feel seasick. We however made sure we took this opportunity as you never when these opportunities come again. There were much changes from the time when my wife went on the Cruise. She mentioned there is no lomnger a Captain's Evening, the Captain landing on the ship from a helicopter. But this is understandle as the themes etc need to eb changed over time. We were quite disappointed with teh kiddies enterntainment at the Kids Club. The entertainment seemed quite basic and not something that most kids would be interested in. Teh days out at sea was excellent. The daily shows were awesome. I do feel that the photos taken on the ship/island are quite pricy(understandable as it the R/Dollar exchange but perhaps send a link to each passenger and get them to choose their photos an dpay in Rands would probably make more sense or get passengers to purchase a USB and svae their photos on this device. Breakfast was pretty standard, Lunch as well, Dinner was excellent. The trip ashore to the island was one of the highlights of the Cruise. The entertainment, food and activities on the Island were quite amazing. Overall the Cruise was a great experience and one that I would recommend.

Cabin Review

Cabin Ocean View

Decent size. Was always kept clean by the cleaning staff. Very punctual with cleaning and replacing of linen and towels. There was no safe however. Bathroom is really minute but it is a ship after all. Cabin other than that had all the requirements that we needed. Considering one spends minimum time in the cabin it had all one needed.

Port Reviews

Portuguese Island

Excellent!!!! What an experience. This Island is so pristine and clean. The locals are friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed hitting the Beach volleyball after so many years and taking a dip in the waters. The entire experience was one to remember.
