I choose this cruise because it was only an hour flight from the Bay area where my grandson lives to fly to Los Angeles. I am so glad we choose the Ruby where I sailed several years ago on a TransAtlantic cruise on. The staff and the food were just great and we had a wonderful experience together. I could not have chosen a better ship to introduce my grandson to cruising. We enjoyed watching movies under the sky at night being cuddled in blankets and he thought it was wonderful to get pizza anytime he wanted. He actually also liked the formal dining room because the waiters and HWTR were so friendly with him and he was able to order Mac and Cheese. He loves basketball and was able to shoot some baskets on the 18th deck. Loved the ports and highly recommend the California coast trip on the Ruby Princess!
