HOTELPACKAGE; Hotel Biscayne Bay, Miami with transfer to the ship. For review of the hotel; pls check TripAdvisor. The transfer was chaotic. We were about seven couples going to the Jewel, but a lot of people leaving for the Star. Our transfer left one hour late, of the people handling it there was only one lady who had some sense of organisation the others should not have been there. They even managed to send a couples luggage to the wrong ship! CHECK-IN; Long line outside terminal, luckily it did not rain! STATE-ROOM. We had a balcony stateroom on 10th floor. Small but lovely colours and nice paintings. Well worth to pay a little extra for a balcony. HOUSE-KEEPING; We had two house-keepers, both very friendly & helpful, and our cabin was very clean. We had booked an Anniversary-package and the first part of it was promptly in the cabin when we arrived. RESTAURANTS; We ate two times in the á la carte-restaurant TSAR, did not have very nice waiters (both male) and had to share table. The food was ok but not good. Very noisy. We also ate two times in the á la carte-restaurant AZURA. The first time we received very good service and the food was also good. The second time we had a strange waiter (male), the food was not so good and all the waiter were giving another table all the attention. This also happened when we were having our Anniversary-dinner (incl. in package) in LE BISTRO. Another two tables were getting most of the attention. Doesn´t NCL teach their personnel that every guest is a VIP-guest? The food was good in Le Bistro. We always had breakfast in the GARDEN CAFÉ. Ok if you rise early, and lots to choose from. We also ate lunch there, the lunch was mostly from 1200-02.30. It could be better if they had it open to 0300, since most of the people ate there for lunch and it was always crowded. We also had some lunch at the GREAT OUTDOORS, more silent but less to choose from. CIRQUE BIJOU; an imitation of Cirque Soleil and Riverdance, but not as professional as the original ones. SERVICE-FEE is added to your room-account every day. But where does the money go? The people we talked to did not have high wages. DRILLED WAITERS They have trained the personnel very well to always sell more! If you try to have two glasses of wine, you end up with a bottle. If you try to have two bottles of beer, you end up with six (one free). Ice water is free in the restaurants but bottles are not. The photos are very expensive and not too professional, ask how much before you think of buying. But it is of course up to you to buy or not... SUNBEDS We did not have any problem finding sunbeds on the floor above the pools. LIVEMUSIC BY THE POOL every day. Reggae and the same songs every day. DISEMBARKATION We chose to take our own luggage and went to the queue about 07.30. At 07.50 the let us move ashore and the process took about 30 min. TRANSFER TO AIRPORT/MIAMI We had no problem to find a shared cab to the airport.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Nice to have balcony. Small cabin but nice colours and design. Quiet location but the balcony-door was noisy at nights when the waves were high. Coffee- and tea-making facilities. Bathrobe by request. Laundry-service. No complimentary hair-balsam or body lotion. New towel-animals every evening!
