We chose this cruise to visit Antartica and had waited 4 years to go after a 2 year delay due to me having cancer. Our time in Antartica was very special made even more so by Mickey Live who was an amazing person and wonderful narrator. Also the cruise director Alejandro was simply stunning and made us laugh even when we all felt like crying. Embarkation and disembarkation was smooth and the cabin was fine although showing its age in places. We were in Aqua Class and thought the Persian Garden was a waste of time and not properly regulated or managed as, in our opinion, the Turkish room was dangerously hot. The outdoor pools were lovely and kept clean all the time. We dined in Blu and the service was generally excellent but the food was sometimes too salty for our taste. We loved the experience of Quisine but found the food here too greasy for us. We loved Tuscan all round. The entertainment and activites staff ware what made this trip...Nacho, William and the tireless Alejandro are an asset as are the show singers and dancers who provided us ith an array of things to do and enjoy. Also Christina who serviced the female toilets near Blu needs to be promoted as she was simply charming, always smiling and so helpful. Our minor gripe is that as first timers we had to find our own way around the art of cruising...luggage,etc was a mystery to us and a brief talk on the first day would have helped or a leaflet. We also found some passengers to be rude and agressive at times which was a shock to us and explained why Mickey said at the end of his talks "be kind to your fellow passengers!"
Had everything needed and the shower was lovely to use. No noise at all and we liked the overhang to protect us from the worst of the weather. Some bedding was poor with holes in it and towels could be newer and bigger please.Bed was very comfortable indeed.
