The Solstice is a beautiful ship, and I have cruised with the Eclipse as well. It is interesting how two sister ships can be alike in some ways and different in others.

The serving staff were fabulous, with a number of staff members really adding to the positive cruise experience.

The sea days were not very exciting. I know I'm in charge of my own destiny, but I expected more options for entertainment other than dining, drinking, fighting for space in a crowded pool, and watching performers who were missing a critical degree of passion. There were missed opportunities for better lectures, organized discussions that are engaging with an international audience (like climate change), a wider range of movies, a treadmill or jogging track based 5K, and more. Gluttony was encouraged. Mental and physical gymnastics were not. It's a big ship... there should be room for all of this.
