We wanted to see the sights on the Danube and Rhine Rivers. So, along with our very dear friends we decided on a river cruise. Our journey began by exploring Budapest, our departure city. Viking had arranged great accommodations for us. We had a sweet young woman who helped us navigate the city and set us up on tours. It was a great prelude to embarking the ship. We were treated like royalty throughout the journey. Our rooms were always cleaned by a very friendly attendant. Our meals were fabulous with great variety of choices, and our waiters were fun, accommodating, and skilled. The setting allowed us opportunities to meet and visit with a variety of people. We have maintained contact with two other couples and are even talking about another cruise together. The shore trips were well planned and led by very competent people. They added so much personal experience to the areas we visited. There wasn’t one excursion that we went on that we didn’t enjoy. We made so many wonderful memories!
