This is my first experience with MSC. Previously I have sailed on Princess and one cruise on Cunard and this is obviously different then MSC. Will try not to compare these with this one. but that is very hard not to say, “They did this on…”
We chose this cruise be cause the itinerary and the time frame, being on board Christmas and New Years. But the time was a big problem because it was filled kids. That is not the issue,, their parents were the worse. The rudeness, the running around of the kids, in front of waiters, or other passengers, and the parents' saying "They are just kids," Seriously?
Embarkation
Cabin
We were on Aurora Deck 12122 in Fantastica class. First impression of our cabin, was small but comfortable, we first noticed a large black chip out of the sink and learned of the orange pool towels, both with stains. We met Jean, our Steward, asked him about the towels and the stains and he said we will have them washed, not replacing them. but he was great throughout our cruise, bringing extra bathroom towels and laundry needs. First time on a cruise that there was no laundry room available to do that ourselves, having to send out the laundry and it was returned later after 5:00 pm. Our cabin was connected to the room next to us, this might be the bigger reason why we heard just about every conversation they had. Toward the end of this cruise our cabin starting creaking loudly, the seas were a tad rougher then and we were traveling at 23 kts I think causing this loud noise. And it was very loud, not just a small creaking, and very annoying.
