Not as good as it used to be, especially the food.

I had taken this cruise several years ago and enjoyed it, but this time it wasn't nearly as good. Embarkation took much too long, about forty minutes, and I am an "elite" level passenger!

Mostly, the food wasn't tasty. Soups, especially cream soups, were bland to the point of tasteless. Only the French Onion soup was decent. In the Piazza cafe, the food was the same every day (for 15 days). While the offerings were okay, the lack of variety over the period of the cruise was unforgivable.

I had opted for anytime dining so ate in the Micheangelo dining room. The decor was fine and most of the servers were pleasant, with one exception. One waiter rushed our meal to the point that the main course was brought out with the appetizer and sat on a sideboard (and got cold). When we had our dessert he stood around glaring at us. We may have been among the last diners in the room, but that is not an excuse.

Oceanview

Cabin OF

The cabin, outside view, was okay, and spacious enough.
