My husband and I have enjoyed 25+ cruises over the years, we are "active young" seniors in our early 60s. This was our 4th cruise on NCL and, even though it is an older ship, it was recently refurbished, comfortable, and suited our needs to see Cuba on a budget.
We chose this cruise because it fit our schedule to drive from SC to Miami just before meeting our kids and grandkids in Disney the next day. We chose the lower-priced inside cabin #9342 which is mid-ship, quiet, and even though we are used to scenic balconies, did not mind inside since it was only a 4-night cruise and docked overnight in Havana so not in the room much.
Boarding was organized and quick from the check-in and waiting areas. No problem with Visas or getting on and off at our own convenience in Havana. We dined at both free restaurants with the 2 other couples we were with, service was a bit slow and food was decent but not as good as Royal Caribbean. Buffet was good, nothing outstanding. However, the free drink package was GREAT! We all remarked how good the cocktails were, even a floater added if requested. Check out bartender "Emerson" at the pool bar. Cruise director "Philly Joel" was entertaining, as were the shows and cruise fun.
As said above, it was good for our 4-night cruise. Plenty of storage, quiet and mid ship so no motion felt.
