Wanted to get away. Been to all the ports before, so just wanted seven days to relax. We did get off the ship to walk around except Ensenada.

This was our 19th cruise (18 on Princess) but first time on Ruby. The embarkation was very smooth. Sidewalk to cabin took 30 minutes with no lines as we boarded around noon. We avoided Horizon court for lunch. Had a wonderful first day lunch in the dining room. Not crowded and wait staff was wonderful.

Before this cruise I had read numerous reviews about this ship. Read a lot of negativity about the ships condition, food, staff, etc. I found the ship to be in excellent shape. Saw ships staff cleaning, painting all the time. The food was very good. If you were unhappy with your meal, the wait staff made sure you were. Was very pleased with Club Class dining area. Was never crowded and we had anytime dining. This dining area was for upgraded mini-suites and suites passengers.
