We had never experienced the Panama Canal and this cruise was an opportunity to see it without having to deal with the many negative issues associates with flying to the cruise port. The cruise was essentially one for geriatrics, ourselves included, but that did not detract from the friendliness and amenability of our fellow passengers; the many of whom we talked to and shared activities with were very nice and very interesting. The entertainment was very good; Callie, the Cruise Director was exceptional. Food was to a high standard; we mainly dined in the Horizon Court and was generally surprised at the availability of unoccupied tables when compared with the same places on other cruise ships (perhaps our timing was adrift from the majority of diners?). The shore trips itinerary was, or should have been good, but for circumstances beyond the control of the Captain, two of the ports we were looking forward to visiting, in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, had to be cancelled due to the severe and far reaching effects of Hurricane Nate in the Caribbean Sea, Nevertheless, the ports that we did visit were interesting and sea-day life remained very pleasant. My wife was somewhat disappointed with the mediocre turn out for playing contract bridge, but that's life!
Comfortable. Shower, as usual, very "Cosy." Plenty of hanging space in the closet.
Walked about the town enjoying the ambiance (and the many gift stalls/stores!).
