Unable to celebrate our 25th anniversary last year, we decided to take a cruise this year. My travel agent gave me several selections around the first week in October. We chose RCL. Neither of us had been on a cruise, much less out of the US. We come from a small town and almost felt out of place! But the staff was very welcoming and we soon felt comfortable. We were surprised by the size of the Allure! TRULY AMAZING! Our cabin was quaint, and we really enjoyed the balcony! I was highly impressed with the darkness of the room, as I prefer a dark room when I sleep. The only issue I had with the cabin was the air conditioning. Being a plus sized female over 50, hot flashes and heat in general are bothersome.

Dining was delicious! So many options and foods to chose from. However, being the country girl that I am, some of those foods, are not things I would eat.

We did only two shows on this trip. Both were great, however Oceanaria was a little disappointing. We were not informed that we needed to arrive for our reservation 30 minutes early. We were there with 10-15 minutes to spare, and ended up standing the entire time. Not sure where our reserved seats went.

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

The only thing negative I have about the room would the the air conditioning. I like it much cooler that it was. Otherwise, the bed was SUPER comfortable!
