The Irma Hurricane hit the Eastern Caribbean our 3rd day out and the Divina and other ships skirted the storms as we watched CNN and got updates directly from the Captain Marco Massa each evening at 5 in the theater. We never had a rough sea day. We were given free internet, the beverage packages were continued, and help was given to those choosing to depart in the extra ports the changes in itinerary (due to Irma) dealt us. When we at last returned to Miami Tuesday we were allowed to stay on board free of charge until the following Saturday. So I got 1 week free!!! Then Miami was recovering and a new cruise group would come aboard. I felt completely safe and have nothing but high regard for the MSC folks. They went way above and beyond to secure our safety and made the trip unforgettable. We even got a 25%off coupon toward a future MSC cruise ! I don't think the other cruise lines were so generous.
Nice big balcony cabin for a single person...Its a huge ship.....but very easy to navigate around. Main doings on the top couple floors .... and lower couple floors ....with 6 middle floors for various cabins, Special high class areas here n there . Lots of open spaces and places all sorts to gather.
