My first ever cruise and I chose a 3 nighter. We had a day in Amsterdam and a day in Antwerp. The ship is just amazing. It is so clean everywhere. We had a room with a view! and a kettle. The room was spotless with plenty of storage space. The food was amazing with plenty of choice at every single meal. You can either go to the restaurant and be served or you can go for a buffet. Either are just as good. You can always get a hot drink day or night. The staff are all so friendly and nothing is to much for them. They are all so polite and they never seem to stop. There is plenty to do on board in the evening. There are the bars, the disco and the entertainment. There is a well stocked library, a gym, hairdressers and health centre, not forgetting the shopping. There are two pools and ample chairs and sun loungers to relax in during the day. Even with all the people onboard, it never felt cramped. I thoroughly enjoyed my first cruise and I would go on the Columbus again.

Cabin Review

Cabin aft

The cabin is a good size for 2 people, not sure about 4, although there are the options to pull 2 down from the ceiling, making 2 bunk beds. The beds are really comfortable and although single are about 3ft wide. There is plenty of storage space and a comfortable sized bathroom with just a shower, but ample hot water. If you have a cabin with a porthole you also get a kettle with tea, coffee and milk, which saves having to go to the restaurant for a drink. The room is spotless and if cleaned regularly. They even turn the bed covers down each night.
