We arrived very early, driving to Tilbury. You have to leave your suitcases in one area, then drive back to find the car park which was very poorly signposted. Be prepared to drive round in circles looking for it. A shuttle bus took us to the terminal where, despite being very early, we were directed straight through and on to the ship. Staff at the terminal were smiley an helpful.

We weren't sure if we could have lunch as we embaked but the buffet was ready and all meals we subsequently ate here were excellent. I'm vegetarian, there were salads, chilli, curries etc. The evening meals were small, sensible well presented portions with excellent, helpful staff. There were 2 formal nights when my husband wore a lounge suit and I wore smart trousers. We picked a table for 6, it will be the same people every night, we were lucky with our companions. Staff were very pleasant. You could choose to eat in the buffet restaurant instead.

We were on deck 6 with a picture window it was quiet, the room had a hairdryer but only one socket, no tea and coffee making facilities. Take a multi socket. There were small soaps and shampoo. Staff again very pleasant.
