Columbus Cruise Review by Andy21
- Sail Date: August 2017
- Destination: British Isles & Western Europe
Getting on and off the ship was first class and well organised,to be honest most of the issues that were few were caused by guests going to their designated areas too early causing congestion.
The ship is not new but very well organised with a multinational crew who are all very helpful and go out off their way to help you, the crew also make sure you are safe and keep you informed of weather conditions, the lifeboat drill was well organised but very slow due to the mature clientele on the ship.
The food in all the restaurants was superb, all to a good standard with excellent service and plenty of choice.
Entertainment was okay and too a reasonable standard, but certainly not west end standard as described in some reviews. The daily activities were fun and varied and again good for the mature clientele on board.
Service, all the staff did a fantastic job and went out of their way to be helpful.
Ports and shore excursion's were excellent and good value, well organised with lots of interesting information.
We did not travel with children and too be honest I don't think their is enough to keep them entertained, particularly if its too cold to use the outdoor pools.
We will be returning again and really enjoyed our experience, we were a little nervous When I read some of the previous reviews , but we had no complaints the team did a great job and are a credit to this beautiful ship.
