This was our first cruise, me, hub and 7 year old. We stayed at the Orlando hotel and somehow were some of the first to board. We did the aquaduck 3 times with no wait, which was great because lines otherwise were long. Overall a beautiful ship, beautiful room and everyone was most helpful. Great shows and all the ice cream and light sauce pizza my kid could eat. She loved the kids center and hard to get her to leave. Cold shrimp and crab at Cabana lunch along with smoked salmon for breakfast was great for me. Here are my comments that I think Disney should read.

We had a midship room on the 10th floor. The room was fabulous and roomy with a veranda. Very convenient to stairs and Cabanas and very little motion or engine noise.

- However, the view of the sky was almost totally blocked by the pool deck overhang. The room was therefore dark and cavernous. Disney notes that some rooms have a partial or obstructed view and those rooms are priced accordingly. Why was this partially blocked view not disclosed? Other than concierge, this is the most expensive category on the boat!! I should be able to see the sky!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Cabin 04B

Beautiful room, spacious. But, the overhang from the pool deck blocked most of the sky view making the room dark and cavernous. We paid a premium for this room and got half the view. Also, extremely noisy room until 1 am because of people running around on the pool deck. Then staff moving chairs and more running starting at 6:30-7 am. And, crew moves along a machine that suspends them outside the boat on the 10th floor eliminating any privacy at port. No disclosure of any of these issues that come with these rooms. Disney should not be charging such a premium for these midship rooms as they are problems endemic with the location. Other rooms are cheaper because of blocked views, why not these? Sad to cruise with little sky.
