We chose this cruise due to the price and itinerary - we wanted interesting sights to view at the ports which we could undertake ourselves without purchasing excursions we embarked in Rome and after a day at sea travelling past Stromboli and through the Messina Strait we called at Brindisi Puglia, Kotor Montenegro, Dubrovnik Croatia, Day at Sea, Venice Italy, and finally Trieste Italy where we flew home to Heathrow.

Cunard Charter was with BA Boeing 767 with a 2-3-2 seat configuration. Flight and transfers were well organised and from arriving at Rome Airport at 11am we were in our cabin at just gone 1pm.

Ship was elegant and charm radiated throughout - inside public areas during the day felt empty and relaxing as most people on excursions or sunbathing.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BE

Perfect size for two with refit adding larger wall mounted smart to and tea and coffee facilities and new carpet and furnishings. Balcony large enough for two reclining chairs and a small table. Bathroom was adequate with the small shower cubicle with shower curtain the only negative but we managed without issue.

Port Reviews

Taormina (Messina)

Just a sail through but interesting

Venice

No words can convey the beauty of Venice - we were allowed to view the entrance to Vipenice from the Crew only front of deck 5.

Brindisi

A maiden port with a interesting harbour promenade and main shopping street with various archeological places to visit.

Dubrovnik

Again beautiful medival port.

Kotor

Stunningly beautiful entering the Fjord like Bay of Kotor and the fact that we docked rather than using tenders sped up the process of visiting the walled medival city.
