This was our best cruise from start to finish of all the previous cruises we have been on. This was our 6Th cruise with Royal Caribbean. We got a super deal. Watch the prices prior to leaving on your trip. Our prices dropped and all of us got a $400 or $500 rebate per cabin before we left. We flew in a day early and spent the night at the Marriot hotel on the beach in San Juan. It was a very nice hotel with beautiful grounds and it even included a casino. I must say most in our group of ten were lucky at the casino. We checked out of the hotel at 11am and had a cab take us right to the ship. We were told not to get there until 2pm but you are always told that and we have always gone early. We were on the ship in no time at all. We went right to the Windjammer and enjoyed a great buffet lunch. We then chose to explore the ship and learn our way around while it was still quiet. I highly recommend this because it helps you later when the ship fills up. You can not go to your cabins until after 2pm. We stayed in a balcony room on deck 7 close to the elevator which was very accessible. The room was beautiful and we really enjoyed the balcony. I must say though for the amount of time you spend in your room it is just as good to have an inside cabin and save the money for other things. Our luggage was delivered before dinner which made it nice. What made this trip so special was the crew. Everyone was so nice from start to finish. The cruise director Casey was very entertaining and the whole activity staff was very friendly and fun. We also befriended a bar waiter Benny who was like family by the end of the cruise. This ship is very clean and has a lot to offer. We tried the mystery murder theater show at Portifino which was very fun and entertaining. You also don't want to miss the skating show. These skaters are very talented. The shows with the singers and dancers from Royal Caribbean were very good. They also had a few comedians on the other nights. The dining room was good not fantastic. I think they have scaled back on the food a bit. It is still definitely worth going there every night. Most nights you can enjoy food you normally wouldn't cook at home. You can always ask for something different if you didn't like your choice. All ports of call were very nice on this cruise. We were lucky because all the excursions we picked were very good. The really nice part of this ship is how you disembark. You don't have to leave the ship at the crack of dawn. You basically leave when you want as long as it is by 1030am. There were really no lines getting off and everything moved quickly. The luggage pickup was a very easy process. When you get to the terminal there are plenty of cabs to take you to your destination or tour buses to tour the island if you have time for that before heading to the airport. We had a night flight so we chose to go back to the Marriot and get a day pass to enjoy the beach and pools one last time. We then sadly said goodbye to Puerto Rico and headed home to plan our next cruise adventure.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

We stayed in a balcony room on deck 7 near the front of ship. It was our first time trying a balcony room and it was beautiful. We couldn't pass it up due to the great deal we got.Our room was one room down from the elevator which made me nervous at first thinking it would be noisy. It was not and it turned out to be a very convenient location.
