We were looking for an affordable cruise to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary, attend a wedding in St. Marteen, and celebrate some July birthdays. There were a group of 20 of us, all family, with 6 children between the ages of 9 and 17.
The ship was beautiful and well maintained. There were certainly enough bars and eating venues. For a group as large as ours we didn't have problems finding seating for all of us, which I found amazing. We had 3 tables in the main dining room, all next to each other. The kids had their own table of 6 and then we had two adult tables of 8 and 6, it worked out well as the adults switched tables to get a chance to visit with everyone. Our wait staff were remarkable, we had Jorge and Bernadette. The service was wonderful and they were very attentive, we never had to ask for refills on anything - Bernadette was right there as soon our water glasses were low. Jorge sang, did magic tricks, and generally entertained the kids as well as the adults all while providing great service.
The shows were good, all musical, but with same elements in the shows repeated numerous times. I would have liked more variety but Andre explained with all the different languages they concentrated on visual, not language based shows like comedians. It was fine.
The inside stateroom was good enough being we don't spend much time in our room. We had plenty of room for our clothes.
We attended a wedding at a beach on Simpson Bay, the wedding planner had a van pick us all up and return us the ship.
We walked around old town and enjoyed the vendors.
Nassau is not my favorite port, we walk to Starbucks for coffee and then back to the ship to enjoy the peace and quiet.
Miami is too crowded and way too much traffic.
