Overall it was a good experience. I felt somewhat rushed during the whole vacation but I guess that is typical for cruise...I just never felt like I was doing things on my time....but I think that is typical for a cruise.
People that work onboard were all very friendly and nice; could not ask for more accommodating staff. We thought the food was great, the food choices were overwhelming at first at Windjammers.
I think they need more options for stores on board. Didn't understand why the watch shops prices cost more than what I can buy things for at home...they kept saying it's duty free...who cares when my price back home is cheaper, even after I pay the tax on it? Maybe I was missing something. I would have liked more variety to the stores, perhaps an opportunity to buy something that is different or unusual;...just seemed very limited in what was offered, didn't appeal to me personally I can get a Kate Spade bag at any TJ Maxx, why would anyone choose to get one on a cruise is beyond me...get a Louis Vuitton store and give me a better price and no tax, then I would be impressed.
The cabin is small and took some time for me to adjust to; I felt very cramped with our stuff and 4 people.....especially when the lower trundle was open. We couldn't get out to enjoy the balcony without almost tripping over a sleeping kid (very tight and narrow walkway when the bed open). Also 4 people getting ready for dinner was always a challenge with the layout of the bathroom; it would help if the sink was outside room.
we did our own exploration and got to the beach on our own for $8
We tried to go shopping...many stores were closed.
