I was excited at the chance to travel with Silversea as a single with a more than fair 25% upcharge. i'd heard many good things about the line from friends and my topnotch travel agent.
I was not disappointed at all. The size of the Silver Whisper is perfect for a week or so...not to large, not too small...just right!
From the transfer in London to the ship in Southhampton, through the voyage and disembarking in Copenhagen all was handled promptly, professionally and perfectly. The staff were caring, the food and wine plentiful, the entertainment first rate...just about all you might want on a cruise. The excursions I booked were handled by excellent guides who were knowledgable and fluent in English. The buses were clean and had good AC which was important since it was hot quite a bit of the time. I've traveled many other lines but I cannot remember a better run operation. I was most pleased with my suite and butler. I felt pampered and special as I am sure did all the other guests. Can't wait for the next sailing!
Cabin Review
Veranda Suite
Port side with a veranda. Lovely sitting area, large desk with a swivel TV that covered all of the room. A small vanity area with a large mirror. Good drawer space and a large walk-in closet. Lovely marble bathroom with a large...almost too large for me...tub and a separate stall shower. Oversize bath towels and nice robes and slippers. Plenty of fluffy pillows and good lighting and heavy drapery to keep out the morning light. The cabin was quiet except when the neighbors were talking. Luckily, they were out most of the time.
