This is our first time on Norwegian Cruise Ship, we have done Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Liked Carnival and Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships better, did not care for Norwegian Breakaway Cruise Ship. Too many people, the pool and whirl pools were always crowded and no place to sit. The ship nickeled and dime you. Everything that we did we had to reserve it. This is a free style cruise, no set time to eat. Did not need to be dressed up, this we didn’t like, people should be better dressed for dinner. It was more like a restaurant type setting. Go to eat at the free complementary dinning, which there was only six, the rest of them were all Specialty restaurants and cost money. We ate in the Taste Dinning Room (Deck 6), Manhattan Dining Room (Deck 7), and at the Garden Café Buffet style (Deck15). We preferred the sitting down dinning, but we had to wait to be sited, we got these beepers that light up and vibrate. The food was excellent, better than dinner food. The only complaint was the apple pie, it was not the apple pie that we know, it was like paste.

Many of the crew staff did go the extra mile and felt like they did care about the passengers. Many of the shows were for a fee. There were a few that was free, but we had to reserve them. They did have some great singers though. One show that was free was “Burn The Floor,” it was ballroom dancers, it was great. Some of the dancers came from Dancing with the Stars and the British Version Strictly Come Dancing, one hour of nonstop dancing. We did go to the Jungle Fantasy dinner show and yes it was good and so was the food. The one part of the ship that I thought was not great was Atrium (Deck 6), this was where the singers would sing, and the Atrium Café and Bar was, but what made it bad was also the Ship’s customer service was. What we didn’t like was people would be walking by and on Deck 7, kids would be playing shuffle board. Too noising and distracting. Because this was free, I guess the ship set it up this way, it would have been better in the theater area. We like the singers Arvin and Emily, they were great.

The excursion, the ones we took were great, was not disappointed. We learned a lot about Bermuda. In the shopping place was called the Tradewinds, this place was nuts, because they tried to get people to buy watches and jewelry. They would hold a drawing every two hours, to draw in customers. Tried to get us to buy a $4,000.00 diamond ring and then turn around and knock it down to $2,750.00, Then tell us to put on a payment plan. To us the watches and jewelry were overpriced. We had the stateroom (5222) on deck five and it was small. Over all it was it was fun, but we will not go on another Norwegian Cruise Ship. This was a learning experience.
