Took this cruise because of family get together. Ten adults from around the US with 4 Diamond members included. My last cruise on RCI was 10 years ago but I have taken 22 cruises with multiple lines. Check in process was easy and fast. Room was clean and attendant did his job mostly well. Entertainment was very good on this cruise. Food quality and service was big disappointment. In main dining room there were missing curtains so every night at sunset the sun glared inside blinding many guests while eating. The hotel manager told guests the curtains had been gone 6 weeks but other guests corrected him and said 6 months!. Food service was slow-usually 2 hours- poor quality and not cooked correctly. Fish overcooked and chewy, many items over salted and not edible, prime rib was always over cooked, no taste and covered in thick brown gravy. Even when I sent it back for such reasons it was again presented the same way. Desert selections were very poor compared to many other ships I've been on. Ice cream was brought to the table always melted. Some crew member vandalized my sister's room and the way the issue was handled by Eric-second in command to hotel manager- was unprofessional and inappropriate. RCI has really gone down hill compared to other cruise lines over the recent years
