Bit of a ramble here but fresh off a cruise on the Carnival Magic.
Second cruise overall.
We chose this cruise to celebrate our daughter graduating from High School and soon off to college.
Cabin:
We chose the Lido deck(deck 10) for easy access to the pool and buffet food. We traveled with our 2 teenagers and all shared the same cabin. Very convenient and we did not have any problem with noise except people opening/closing their balcony doors but I image any exterior cabin would run into that.
There were no more connecting cabins when I booked and I could not find 2 near each other so we decided to cram into one room. It was a bit tight but we managed. There is a drop down bunk bed above the sofa, and the sofa converted into a twin bed along with a king-size bed. There was a fair amount of closet space (2 closets) and 3 drawers along with a small fridge and room safe. The balcony was large enough for 2 upright chairs and a small table. Bathroom was small but manageable. I'm 6-5 and fit in the shower fine.
Our cabin steward Ordin was awesome. Always cheerful, always smiling. Always greeting us by name. Did a great job keeping the cabin tidy. It was great to have breakfast and come back to clean room with towels folded as crabs, elephants, monkeys, etc. Too funny. Great job Ordin!!!!
Advice: Don't over pack. No need to bring beach towels, they have them, even for shore
excursions. Do bring a hoodie, sweater, light jacket. It gets chilly on deck at night.
They have laundry service on the ship if needed.
I saw some complaints about the TV options. They were fine for us. Seemed like a basic option of channels minus ESPN. Got to watch the end of the Masters and otherwise we were mostly out on deck, etc.
