We chose this cruise based on the itinerary but we do prefer Celebrity.
We had the misfortune that British Airways decided to leave all our hold luggage in Heathrow. We were told that it would be flown out the next day but that we might not receive it until Day 4, Curacao ! British airways staff just did not seem to find it a priority. Fortunately the ship sailed the day after our arrival for the overnight stay in Miami so there was a chance it could arrive before we sailed. We met others who had done the same connection from Manchester. Some had all their luggage, some part and others, none ,like us. On contacting the Customer relations staff, Terance sprung into action, took all details, informed the Concierge, Violetta, who immediately started organising. I can only put it down to their brillant efforts that our luggage arrived on the ship 10 minutes before the ship was due to sail. All others received their luggage too.
Due to the fact that there is only a steward and not a steward and his/her assistant now, we feel that the standard of service re servicing the stateroom has dropped. It was not less clean but sometimes it was after lunchtime before it had been serviced and one or two things had been missed, like replacing shower gel/toilet rolls. There was a further service in the evenings as before.
Cabin spacious, plenty of spaces to store clothes, suitcases and excellent storage in bathroom.
Good just to wander. May do a tour if we visit again
Just had a wander. Never been before. Lots of bars and shops and a beach withing 10 minutes walk. Might try a tour on the next visit or just catch local transport.
Facinating pontoon bridge, lively and colourful
Look out for the fish swimming near the walkway allong the shore...beautiful.
Apparently very good for snorkelling and many were doing this.
Good location of precruise hotel, just a 20 minute bus ride to the ship.
