This is cruise #6 for us - all with carnival. We had decided to go on the Western Carribean cruise Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands, Cozumel. We were advised that we were to have a staggered embarkation process and ours was 12:30 - 1:00, however when we arrived at 12:20, we were in a corral with 1600 people and they shuffled us all through the security screening area into another corral and 2 hours later we were on the ship. I have never experienced this embarkation chaos , as we normally go out of the Port of Miami whch has always been a smooth process.

We had been on the Conquest previously a few years back and I understand that it is going into dry dock in a few months and it definately nneds an makeover. Our food was ok in the dining room, ate breakfast and supper in the monet dining room and only ate at the buffet the day we were leaving for breakfast. The deli, guy ferreri burger joint and the blue iguana burrito was good. Our cabin steward Ritchel and her team were top notch, and in the dining room Bagus and his team were great. Comedy club A+. Disembarkation was a nightmare. There was a large group on the ship, approximately 900 that did not follow the disembarkation process, this group should of been assembled in one location and someone from Carnival should of explained to them when and how the process worked. Due to the language barrier "many" of them stormed the lower level which caused a long delay for the rest of the passengers

Cozumel

No excursion taken however, they should have alternate exits if you do not want to shop getting off the ship
