2/5 through 2/12/17 on the RCCL Liberty of the Seas. Balcony Cabin on the 6th deck. The ship was fine. The Royal promenade was nice, but there was no WOW factor. Nothing that stood out as excellent. The room was an average balcony room and was clean. But it was the little things that made us go "hmmmmm, what's going on with RCCL"? The QUALITY wasn't there anymore.

We had been telling our friends and family (none of whom had been on RCCL yet) that RCCL was a step above Carnival. RCCL was worth the extra $$. But not what we experienced this cruise. So disappointed. Maintenance wasn't doing a very good job. Our TV didn't work right and they couldn't fix it. My husband likes to nap and falls asleep with the TV. If you are going to have a TV in the room, it should work.

The food was so disappointing. The quality and presentation were missing. The selections on the dinner menu were nothing special and for the most part we felt that the quality and taste were no better than a typical chain restaurant. The buffet was a mess and felt like we were at the Golden Corral. Breakfast in the dining room was nice, but again nothing special. Dining Service was great. But I wouldn't pay that much money for a RCCL cruise again when my last Carnival cruise was 10 times better. RCCL what is going on?

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

Cabin was standard balcony. Clean room. nothing special. Bathroom could use a little bit of upkeep though. Mold in places in the shower and the spot that holds the toilet bowl cleaner bristles was nasty and falling off of the wall.
