We signed up because 16 of my husbands friends were taking this trip as a 70th birthday celebration. I had not cruised out of Galveston before and was a bit wary , as the prices were so low, I did not have high expectations regarding the quality.
We chose a Jr. Suite, and that was an excellent decision. It was spacious, had a very comfortable bed, and a large bathroom and closet. The cabin was kept spotless and tidy, and every night we were surprised by the appearance of an adorable towel animal.
We only ate three times in Windjammer. We had lunch on embarkation day and a second lunch mid - cruise. We did not care at all for the choices, there were steam tables laden with potatoes , pasta, every kind of starch, and many greasy looking meat entrees. The line at the one small salad bar was always 10 people deep. We had one breakfast , and it was crowded and chaotic. I had expected Jade to feature more Asian style cuisine, but only saw that option on one day.
Close to home!
We have been to Cozumel many times over the years and it never disappoints. We rented a jeep at the port and enjoyed amazing drive and views on the back side of the island.
Booked a private tour with Cayman Routes. We loved it!
Falmouth is 50-60 km from either Ocho Rios or Montego Bay. There is nothing so see in Falmouth itself, so you must arrange for a tour. Richard, with Tours by Locals picked us up at the port and look us to Ocho Rios. Saw historic sites, panoramic views, fishing village, took amazing river raft trip and visited a private beach. Great private tour!
