We signed up because 16 of my husbands friends were taking this trip as a 70th birthday celebration. I had not cruised out of Galveston before and was a bit wary , as the prices were so low, I did not have high expectations regarding the quality.

We chose a Jr. Suite, and that was an excellent decision. It was spacious, had a very comfortable bed, and a large bathroom and closet. The cabin was kept spotless and tidy, and every night we were surprised by the appearance of an adorable towel animal.

We only ate three times in Windjammer. We had lunch on embarkation day and a second lunch mid - cruise. We did not care at all for the choices, there were steam tables laden with potatoes , pasta, every kind of starch, and many greasy looking meat entrees. The line at the one small salad bar was always 10 people deep. We had one breakfast , and it was crowded and chaotic.
