we had this cruise line recommended from the travel agents, as two travelling families we booked 2 mini suites on back to back eastern, western Caribbean and flew from the uk to meet the ship in Orlando. From the minute we arrived NCL wanted money, money, money. As we had read previous reviews regarding the "discretionary" service charge (when I pay for a cruise I expect good service included in the price) we opted to set up a cash account. We had paid for the ultimate drinks package dining package and the kids had a soda packages also paid to have a suite instead of stateroom so did not expect to be extorted for normal service. Due to having a cash account they continually cancelled our cards from getting drinks as we had no means of payment on the account??? Surely purchasing the drinks package included this ?

The guest services where some of the worst customer service I have come across spending a total of 7hrs plus waiting and dealing with issues makes me an expert Only doing anything after getting so angry they threatened me with security for raising my voice did I manage to escalate the issues

The card cancelling happened on 8 different occasions to both families. In two weeks cruising we came across 2 waiters getting drinks for the hundreds of people around the "pool" and were asked a total of 2 times in those weeks.
