This was my first time cruising, and let me just say that I am now hooked! A friend and I sailed through Royal Caribbean on the Enchantment of the Seas and had a wonderful time. We departed from Miami and were able to explore it a little before and after the cruise and it truly is wonderful, there is so much to do and the beaches are wonderful. Embarkation was relatively smooth. We arrived at around 11:30 or 12 as our departure time was scheduled for 4. We were shown where to go and the process was relatively quick considering they were trying to get a large amount of people through the line in a short amount of time. Every time we disembarked was easy as well, we just scanned our Sea Pass cards and were on our way!

The ship is beautiful. Although it is beginning to show it's age a bit in the staterooms and public areas like the bars and theaters. However, this did not affect the experience whatsoever! We stayed in an inside stateroom (I believe it was 2925?) and the only complaint that we had was that we had asked to beds to be separated upon arrival and they were not, but that was not a big deal for us! The stateroom attendants that we had were beyond wonderful. Our main attendant, JJ, was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home!

Dining was also exceptional. We went to dinner at Chops Grille for the first night of the cruise and there were only about 10 other people in the restaurant at the time so it was a very personalized experience, which was wonderful. Each of the items we ordered came out hot and tasted delicious, no complaints at all from our Chops experience and definitely worth the $30/person cover charge. The main dining room was a bit different, but turned out well. We opted to do the My Time Dining option so that we could have more freedom in regards to the activities both on and off the ship that were available. However, the Maitre'D for My Time Dining was very pushy and rude. Each night we dined in the main dining room (which was only twice as we had Chops the first night and ate in Nassau one night) she asked us if we had a reservation, which we did not know was required for My Time Dining. We had made a reservation upon entering the ship for the second night aboard with the Maitre'D herself, but somehow it apparently got lost and so our reservation could not be found that night. Each time she shook her head at us and acted like we would not be able to eat there when there were plenty of tables available! My advice would to go ahead and do reserved dining as otherwise you may be treated rudely.
