I have come to really like long cruises. With a one- or two-week cruise you're just getting to know the ship when it's over; with a 30-day cruise you have time to enjoy it more. For this cruise, when people asked, "Where did you go?" we said, "Everywhere!" Started in Southampton, made our way down the coast, through the Mediterranean, through the Suez Canal, around the Middle East, around India and ended up in Singapore. We took a five-day shore excursion flying from Dubai to Delhi and visiting Agra, Jaipur and Delhi, then flying down to Cochin where we picked up the ship again. We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise except for three things:

1. Whoever made up the Indian itinerary had no concept of traffic and geographic space in India. As a result we spend long hours on the bus with not enough time to really see the cities.

2. The ship was a little past its prime; the library was minuscule; some of the newer facilities found on other ships were not there.
