First we started the trip with the quickest and easiest embarkation we've ever had. We were checked in and on the ship by 11:30 a.m. Our cabin was ready for us and the cabin steward welcomed us on board. The Coral Princess is a nice size ship as it is easy to find your way around. Our cabin was a mini-suite so ample room with a nice balcony. We enjoyed the food in the MDR but really enjoyed the specialty dinning. One night we were fortunate enough to do the Chef's Table. Highly recommend the Chef's Table on the Coral as the food was delicious and paired nicely with wine for each course. The service on the Coral was top notch as the steward was the best we've had on any of the previous cruises we've been on. The waiters and bartenders kept the same high standard too. We stayed on the ship going through the canal and enjoyed the time watching us go through the canal. It was great as once on the lake we were able to see another ship go through the new locks. The other ports were great and we just did sight seeing at each. This was our second cruise to Panama Canal and we had just as much fun as the first time. I would highly recommend this trip on the Coral Princess to anyone.
The cabin is aft which we really liked. It was a good size and comfortable. The balcony was nice as it was half covered and half open. Another plus for this cabin and deck is there is an area at the back of the ship where you can enjoy watching the wake with nice deck chairs and not crowded.
We stayed a couple of nights in Fort Lauderdale pre-cruise and totally enjoyed our time there. High recommend taking the water taxi as you get to see much of the city.
We didn't take an excursion in Aruba just walked around and did some shopping. There is plenty to do without a formal excursion.
