Sail Date: Oct 2016
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

This cruise marked a milestone birthday for my wife, as well as her retirement (you should be able to figure out the birthday!) after almost five decades as a Nurse, the last 25 of those as a Nursing Professor.

We thought the full transit would be interesting after two partials on the Coral and Sea Princess some years ago. We also liked the new-for-us ports on the West Coast.

We had read many comments from former Island fans about the changes on the ship but since we never sailed upon her, we were open-minded. We had, as noted above, sailed on the sister ship, Coral.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Starboard, forward. Very nice old-style large balcony.

Port Reviews

Huatulco

Took ship's tour to Las Brisis resort. Not bad but don't expect the coupons to go very far.

Aruba

The best beaches in the Caribbean!
