A typical Menu Onboard an RCl Cruise

Before taking this cruise, I read up on the reviews of the Voyager especially the last repositioning cruise it did and was really worried about choosing this cruise. But went for it anyway as we never taken the ship nor did a repositioning before.

Embarkation:

The port of Kai Tak Cruise Terminal where the Voyager was docked is located on the old Hong Kong Airport, which is literally out of place and not reachable via public transport. We reached there about 10.30am, drop our luggage and watch it go into a hole on its first step to the ship. Apparently, there wasn't any queue as we headed to the check in desk, though we needed to fill in some health forms. Knowing we needed photocopies for check in, we printed them in advance at home and everything went smoothly. There was no line at check in and we were surprised they allowed us to board the ship before 11.30am.

Cabin Review

Panoramic Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin P2

We had the new Panoramic Ocean View cabins right in the front of the ship, where they added this new area onto the ship. These had some of the best views of the bow and the front view, though not in a favorable part of the ship depending on your needs. The spa was just right outside, and the pools were in a convenient position. Majority of the dinning areas were on the opposite end of the ship, so its a stroll across deck 12 to the other side.

The cabin was well maintain throughout the cruise by our stateroom attendant Alzy who kept it clean and made different towel animals every night. However, i felt that he just did enough, and wasn't on par with the different other SA on our previous RCL cruises.

As with every other cabins in front of the ship, the cabin vibrated during the day and night, but not so heavily as to disturb our sleep.

Port Reviews

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a really a good place to explore as there is so much to do here. Since we have been here already, we just took the star ferry up and down and went to take the historic trolley throughout Hong Kong Island. Best place to visit is Lantau Island and victoria peak. and at night just indulge in the light show. The metro although crowded at times, is extremely efficient and clean, just need to get the octopus card and off you go.
