The cruise was a back to back repositioning cruise. The first 5 days we cruised from Vancouver to Victoria to Astoria and on the Los Angeles. this part of the cruise was a little boring as the stops were not very interesting for us. As B.C. residents, we have been to Victoria many times. We didn't feel it was worth getting off to spend money on food and transportation. Astoria looked just like home with no attractions that interested us. There were a group of tents with local people selling some amazing things. We purchased a few things and were happy for the little jaunt off the ship. Los Angeles was for debarkation and embarkation of other passengers. We enjoyed the lull onboard as others got off and got on the ship. We had a lovely chat with one of the waiters and made a friendship.

After the new passengers arrived onboard, the cruise felt different. I heard that the ship was completely full. There were lots of children and lots of people in general. The mood changed and it was more hectic.

We enjoyed most of the shows. The singers were not very good. The Cirque Bijou was amazing as was Luminesence. The comedian and magician were also excellent. We went to the late shows as there were less kids.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Cabin IE

The cabin was very well appointed. Every inch was used very well. The built in closet and dressers were excellent for keeping a tiny space clear. The bathroom was amazing. Again, every inch was well thought out. There was shelving on the wall as well as under the sink. All the space kept all of our things organized. The shower was amazing! A powerful shower head and lots of hot water as well as spacious for an inside cabin. The beds could have been more comfortable, but it was fine.

Port Reviews

Puerto Vallarta

We took a taxi into downtown. $6 per person. It seemed to be the rate that they all charged. A very nice beach and good shopping. Old town was very nice. Would like to have seen more. Got a good taste of it and would like to return on an all inclusive vacation next time.

Mazatlan

We took a taxi tour. $20 per person for 2 and a half hours. Our driver, Victor was attentive and knowledgeable. He showed us all the highlights that were mentioned in the excursions for a fraction of the price. We could stay longer or shorter at all the stops. He took photos for us and took us to the best shops.

Cabo San Lucas

Very clean and modern. There are huge yachts here! Everything is on the boardwalk, restaurants, shopping, bars, hotels and the beach. No taxi needed to get the the boardwalk. A 10-15 minute walk. Good shopping! Glass bottom boat tours were $15 per person! A bargain compared to the excursion price.
