Cabin: Large Ocean View Stateroom

This was my first cruise in over 10 years. Embarkation was smooth and fast for the most part, but there were some sections that could have used more workers to direct people to the correct places, answer questions, etc.

Our Oceanview Stateroom was spacious and cleaned well twice every day by our cabin attendant (replacing towels, vacuuming, emptying the trash bins, cleaning the toilet, and making the bed). The cabin included a nice tv with remote, a good amount of closet space with just enough hangers, a nice view, a large vanity/desk, and a couch.

On the other hand, when we first arrived to the room, it was not as clean as we had expected it would be. There was dust and/or debris on the surfaces of the furniture and in the drawers. The inside of the drawers had permanent stains and some of the drawers did not slide in and out properly. The bathroom was small, which was expected, but you could see rust in some of the corners. The shower was tiny and the water was never warm. Not once was I able to enjoy a hot shower. The temperature ran from lukewarm-cold to freezing-cold. The toilet did not always flush (you had to press the button multiple times sometimes) and you had to make sure to throw in the toilet paper towards the center-back of the bowl or it would not be flushed down (instead it would stick to the bowl no matter how many times you flushed). This was a problem in other bathrooms on the ship as well.

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Big room, but needs to be updated.
