The embarkation process took nearly 2 hours standing in line walking back and forth in queues like an amusement park roller coaster waiting line. We arrived exactly when we were told so that we could do what we were told because this was our first cruise.
Once on board there was a nice young lady that pointed us in the direction of the food since it was around lunch time and we hadn't eaten since a pretty early breakfast and all that line standing in the warehouse. Hooray we found our way to the food and couldn't wait to see what all the buzz was about with all the people that tell us "wait until you taste the food on the cruise", well we did after another 35 minutes waiting in line to eat. The food once we finally got it, was Golden Corral level at best and it wasn't even warm so I will put it one step down from that. Ok, Ok, Ok, there were a lot of people in the EXACT same place at the same time so let's just write it off to overwhelmed staff. No problem.
Went down to find our room, met our steward, realized very quickly that there was only 1 american outlet in the room and it is nowhere near the bed which is a problem since I have a CPAP machine. Nobody said anything about needing an extension cord and a power strip! No problem just ask our steward he said "if you need ANYTHING just ask" so we did at around 5:15PM.
Too Small
Too Warm
1 American outlet (nowhere near the bed)
Very Firm bed
Very Noisy Neighbors
Took a 10 minute walk down the beach to a little place called Jack's Shack. Forget Margaritaville... THIS PLACE WAS the best!!! So glad we found a guy that told us about it!
RIU Resort Day Pass - Well worth the money and we will be looking into this as a future vacation site instead of a cruise.
BEAUTIFUL BEACH!!!
