My husband and I traveled on this cruise. We choose this cruise because we loved the itinerary on the Vista with stops in Sicily, Naples, Rome, Florence, Marseilles, Palma de Mallorca and back to Barcelona. We also loved how big the ship is and for the most part it never felt crowded, except by the pools.
Embarkation went pretty quick for us. We choose the 2 pm time to board and we were on the ship by 2:30 pm.
They were still working out some of the bugs with the dine your time on day one, so we ate at JiJi Asian on the first night which was excellent. We did the dine your time the following night and were seated quickly. The earlier you dined (anytime before 8 pm), the less of a wait you had. The food in the dining room was pretty good, better than some of the other cruises we have been on. We ordered from the bar one night and got our drinks pretty fast. We were pleasantly surprised to see soup and salad bars around different areas of the ship. It helped keep the lines at the buffet pretty short. We did try the Seafood Shack and the lobster rolls were great. We also did room service for each day in port. Room service was on time or early on each of the days. There is not much to choose from on the menu, but we were only looking for coffee and continental breakfast, so it was perfect for us.
This was a much bigger group that we traveled with out to the Luberon Villages. It was a wonderful relaxing tour. We loved walking through the towns of Lourmarin and Roussillon. We finished the tour with a visit to the Lavendar Museum. Although the fields were not in bloom, the visit was really nice.
We did a walking tour of Palma with a visit to the Cathedral. Everyone who enters the Cathedral has the same wow reaction. It was one of the most beautiful Cathedrals I have ever seen.
